Dear friends,

A very warm welcome to the Lendvai String Trio's new website and newsletter! October has been an extraordinarily exciting month for us with Dutch television's NTR Podium documentary film crew following our concerts in both England and The Netherlands for a short film about the trio which will be shown on November 20th on Nerderland 2. This was followed by an interview in the Dutch newspaper NRC Handelsblad, a new publicity photo shoot on a very Autumnal day on a windy beach in Ijmuiden, near Amsterdam, and the whole ten days the trio spent together culminated on Friday 28th at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam when we were awarded the prestigious Kersjes Prize of €50,000.

As we approach our 8th anniversary year in 2012, having this huge financial support means we can realise projects and dreams that we've been planning ever since we began playing together as a trio, and we are going to delve straight in to our first project and record the complete Beethoven String Trios at Potton Hall in England in February next year. As well as this, we have a series of other plans and recording projects taking shape that will take place over the next three years with the support of this incredible award, and we look forward to the exciting journey ahead of us.
